UK-Indonesia Health Genomics Forum

The Indonesian Minister of Health, high-level stakeholders, leading scientists from UK and Indonesia, and ~600 other participants (100 offline, 500 online) convened at the UK-Indonesia Health Genomics Forum that was initiated by Genepica and held in Jakarta, Indonesia in December 2023.

The Indonesian Ministry of Health, British Embassy in Jakarta, Oxford Society Indonesia, Summit Institute for Development, and Entrepreneur First were among the institutions that supported this initiative.

In addition to a public forum, the two-day event also featured private roundtables where high-level stakeholders engaged in more in-depth discussions.

Mini Research Symposium

We initiated and held a Mini Research Symposium in London, United Kingdom in June 2024, in collaboration with Doctrine UK. The program featured genomics projects by researchers from Genepica, Imperial College London, University College London, University of Glasgow, and moderated by a University of Cambridge researcher. It was attended by ~35 participants (20 offline, 15 online). This event was supported by Entrepreneur First.

Workshops and Public Lectures

We gave workshops and public lectures on the topics of health genomics and bioinformatics at multiple universities in Indonesia.

Health x Climate Roundtable: Cancers and Air Pollution

We believe in the importance of climate-informed perspective in understanding complex health issues. We are organising a roundtable which will be attended by:

• C-level executives at health- and climate-related companies and non-profits

• Professionals working in health and/or climate

• Medical doctors

• Cancer researchers

This will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia in November 2024. Preparation is currently underway.
