We participated in the III Congreso Español de Medicina Genómica, held on 21–22 May 2026 at Universidad Nebrija, Madrid. The Congreso Español de Medicina Genómica is a unique annual event that brings together experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across the Spanish-speaking world to explore the latest advances in genomics and its application in precision medicine. This third edition focused on “AI for Equity in Genomic Medicine”, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for inclusive and ethical implementation of genomic medicine across Spanish-speaking countries. For GENEPICA, participation in this congress represented an important opportunity to connect with the Latin American and Iberian genomics community – a region that shares our commitment to advancing genomic medicine in underrepresented and underserved populations.
