GENEPICA participated in the Innovation Roundtable Series 3: Genomics for Diagnostics – Indonesia’s Path Forward, hosted by SoluSEA Venture Labs in collaboration with Doctrine UK. Bringing together researchers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, medical doctors, and members of the Indonesian scientific diaspora, the roundtable explored how Indonesia can translate advances in genomic research into meaningful clinical and diagnostic applications. As part of the discussion, GENEPICA presented its work and shared insights from its experience within the UK genomics ecosystem, highlighting lessons that could inform the development of genomics in Indonesia. Discussions covered population-specific genomic data and data governance, clinical implementation, regulatory and reimbursement pathways (BPJS), sustainable market development, and workforce capacity in genomics and bioinformatics. The event highlighted the value of international knowledge exchange and cross-sector collaboration in building an accessible, sustainable, and clinically impactful genomics ecosystem in Indonesia.
